Fri Jul 07 2006: The Lakers are pleased to announce that former Lakers goaltender Dayne Davis has accepted a scholarship to play goal for the University of Prince Edward Island.
Sun Feb 26 2006: Jordan Dufton and Drew Irvine have been named Miller Ford Players of the year by the West Lorne Lakers Hockey Club
Sat Feb 25 2006: In Thamesford the Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 6-3. Jordan Dufton scored two goals and John Sonier scored once for the Lakers. Marcel Ianni scored two goals for the Trojans while Jamie Jongsma, Grant Thomas, Josh Vaneck, and Justin Harburn each scored once. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. West Lorne outshot Thamesford 51-47. The Trojans win the series 4-1.
Fri Feb 24 2006: In Thamesford the Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 7-4. Ryan Roke scored twice for the Lakers while Jordan Dufton and Rick Buncick each scored once. Justin Harburn scored twice for Thamesford while Jamie Jongsma, Cory Mallett, Grant Thomas, Mike Diblasio, and Kory Kuipers each scored once. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. West Lorne outshot the Trojans 59-55. Thamesford leads the series 3-1.
Wed Feb 22 2006: In West Lorne the Thamesford Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 4-3. Jordan Dufton scored twice for the Lakers and Matt Bartoch scored once. Chris Berwick, Jamie Jongsma, Josh Vaneck, and Trevor Dickson scored for Thamesford. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. West Lorne outshot Thamesford 39-35. The Trojans lead the series 2-1.
Fri Feb 17 2006: In Thamesford the Lakers defeated the Thamesford Trojans by a score of 6-4. Thamesford scored one minute into the game and again midway through the first period on goals by Trevor Dickson and Paul Arnold to take a 2-0 lead. The Lakers scored two goals with 6:46 and 6:01 remaining in the 1st period on a tip from Matt Bartoch and a wrist shot from the slot by Jordan Dufton to tie the score at 2-2 after the 1st period. Matt Bartoch's 2nd goal of the game and a slap shot by Ryan Roke on the power play gave the Lakers a 4-2 lead after the second period. Thamesford scored one minute into the 3rd period on Trevor Dickson's second goal of the game to narrow the gap to 4-3. The Lakers went ahead 5-3 one minute later on a Drew Irvine power play goal from the slot. The Trojans scored midway through the 3rd period on a goal by Myles Gunnell to make it 5-4. Justin Rowles scored an empty net goal with one minute remaining in the game to give the Lakers the victory. Brandon Palmer picked up the win in goal. Thamesford outshot the Lakers 44-34. The Best 4 out of 7 playoff series is now tied 1-1.

Wed Feb 15 2006: In West Lorne the Thamesford Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 5-2. Matt Bartoch and Justin Rowles scored for the Lakers. Jordan Dufton had two assists. Grant Thomas scored twice for the Trojans while Justin Harburn, Trevor Dickson, and Josh VanEck each had one goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Thamesford outshot West Lorne 49-39. Thamesford takes a 1-0 lead in the series.
Sat Feb 11 2006: In Belmont, the Lakers defeated the Bombers by a score of 11-5. Ryan Campbell, Matt Bartoch, and Brady Campbell each scored twice for the Lakers while Karl Schramowsky, Drew Irvine, Tyler Smith, Ryan Roke, and Mike Dufton each scored once. Jordan Dufton added three assists. Dan Walters, Steve Kewley, Curtis Prikken, Kyle Kirby, and Alex McKenna scored for Belmont. Liam Nediger picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 50-36 in favour of West Lorne.
Wed Feb 08 2006: In West Lorne the Exeter Hawks defeated the Lakers by a score of 5-3. Drew Irvine, Steve Boniferro, and Jordan Dufton scored for the Lakers. Jason Stuckless scored three goals for Exeter while Troy Elder and Jeff Smale each scored once. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 48-41 in favour of Exeter.
Sat Feb 04 2006: Jordan Dufton was named all star left wing for the Thomas Division; he will receive the award on Feb 13 in Port Dover at the league banquet
Fri Feb 03 2006: In Thamesford the Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 6-3. Ryan Roke scored twice and Drew Irvine scored once for the Lakers. Jordan Dufton added two assists. Scoring for Thamesford were Mike Diblasio and Paul Arnold with two each while Josh Vaneck and Kory Kuipers each added one goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Thamesford's sixth goal was into an empty net.
Wed Feb 01 2006: In West Lorne the Lakers defeated the Mount Brydges Bulldogs by a score of 4-3. With the score deadlocked at 3-3 Drew Irvine scored his second goal of the game when he snapped a shot over the goaltender with 7:42 remaining in the game to give the Lakers the victory. Also scoring for the Lakers were Mark Firth and Jordan Dufton. Ben Hillen, Matt Turner, and Jeff Bradley each scored once for Mount Brydges. Brandon Palmer picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 43-42 in favour of West Lorne.
Wed Feb 01 2006: The Lakers are pleased to announce Joe Facca has signed on as an Assistant Coach. Joe got his OHA start with the Lakers and went on to play Junior B and Senior AAA.
Wed Feb 01 2006: The Lakers also announce the signing of Pete Thomson of West Lorne to add depth during the playoffs. Pete is the Captain of the West Elgin Secondary School Wildcats Hockey Team.
Wed Jan 25 2006: In West Lorne the North Middlesex Stars defeated the Lakers by a score of 3-2. Matt Bartoch scored twice for the Lakers. Jordan Dufton and John Sonier each had 2 assists. Sean Davidson scored twice for North Middlesex including the game winner with 18 seconds remaining and Jason Thompson scored the other Stars goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 39-30 in favour of North Middlesex.
Sun Jan 22 2006: In Lambeth the Lakers defeated the Lancers by a score of 6-5. Scoring for the Lakers were John Sonier, Jordan Dufton, Drew Irvine, Karl Schramowsky, Steve Boniferro, and Matt Bartoch. With the score tied at 5-5 Matt Bartoch banged in the winning goal with 54 seconds remaining in the game. Bartoch, Dufton, and Irvine each added 2 assists. Adam Norman scored two goals for the Lancers while Owen Herman, Spencer Shaw, and Brad Young each scored once. Brandon Palmer picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. Both teams had 33 shots on goal.
Wed Jan 18 2006: In Lucan the Lakers defeated the Irish by a score of 5-4 in overtime. Steve Boniferro scored the Lakers 1st goal on a wrist shot from in close. John Sonier scored the Lakers 2nd goal when he deked around a defenceman and roofed a shot over the goaltender. Matt Bartoch scored the Lakers 3rd goal on a breakaway deke while shorthanded. Drew Irvine scored the Lakers 4th goal on a tremendous end to end rush. Jordan Dufton banged in a pass from Drew Irvine 3:50 into overtime to give the Lakers the victory. Matt Bartoch and Drew Irvine each added 2 assists. Trevor Medieros, Bob Martin, Craig Enwright, and Dan Crowley scored for Lucan. Brandon Palmer picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 47-45 in favour of West Lorne.
Sat Jan 14 2006: In Thamesford the Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 5-4. Josh Van Eck's second goal of the game with 59 seconds remaining in the 3rd period broke a 4-4 tie. Also scoring for the Trojans were Jamie Jongsma with two and Kory Kuipers with one. Matt Bartoch scored three goals including one on a breakaway deke and added one assist while Drew Irvine scored the other Lakers goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for West Lorne. Thamesford outshot the Lakers 50-40.
Thu Jan 12 2006: We are pleased to announce that Matt Willis and Ryan Campbell will be representing the Lakers at the 2006 JDL All Star Game.
Wed Jan 11 2006: Jordan Dufton has been choosen as December's Ontario Hockey Association Player of the Month. Jordan now becomes eligible for the OHA Player of the Year and a $500 scholarship bursary.
Wed Jan 11 2006: In West Lorne the Lambeth Lancers defeated the Lakers by a score of 6-5. Ryan Roke had two goals for the Lakers while Matt Bartoch, Mike Dufton, and Drew Irvine each had one goal. Tyler Gore and Mike Cashen each had two goals for the Lancers while Brian Skrypnyk and Jeff Roy each added one goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. West Lorne and Lambeth each had 40 shots on goal.
Wed Jan 04 2006: In West Lorne the Mitchell Hawks defeated the Lakers by a score of 3-2. With the score tied at 2-2 Kevin Baetz scored on a slapshot from just inside the blueline with 3:07 remaining in the game to give the Hawks the win. Ben Shackleton and Craig Kelly also scored for Mitchell. Matt Bartoch scored twice for the Lakers while Drew Irvine added 2 assists. Brandon Palmer played goal for West Lorne. Shots on goal were 48-28 in favour of Mitchell.
Tue Dec 27 2005: In West Lorne the Mount Brydges Bulldogs defeated the West Lorne Lakers by a score of 7-4. Jordan Dufton scored twice for the Lakers while Matt Willis and Rick Buncick each added one goal. Scoring for Mount Brydges were Josh Wood with two while Jamie Muir, Ben Hillen, Tyler DeDecker, Matt Beck, and John Fletcher each added one goal. Liam Nediger was in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 43-41 in favour of Mount Brydges.
Wed Dec 21 2005: In West Lorne the Lakers defeated the Thamesford Trojans by a score of 6-5. With the Lakers trailing 5-4, Mike Dufton's quick wrist shot between the goalies legs with 8 minutes remaining in the game tied the score at 5-5. Jordan Dufton scored the winning goal with 1:29 remaining in the game when his snap shot from the slot deflected up and over the Thamesford goaltender. Also scoring for the Lakers were Ryan Roke with two while Matt Willis and Drew Irvine each had one goal. Matt Willis added two assists. Justin Harburn, Trevor Dickson, Brendan Pierce, Paul Arnold, and Matt Duncan scored for Thamesford. Brandon Palmer picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. West Lorne outshot Thamesford 52-39.
Sat Dec 17 2005: In North Middlesex the Stars defeated the Lakers by a score of 5-3. Matt Bartoch scored twice and Ryan Roke scored once for the Lakers. Jordan Dufton added 3 assists. Sean Davidson scored two goals for North Middlesex while Matt Bork, Bryan Richardson, and Stephen McLinchey each added one goal. The Lakers narrowed the defecit to 4-3 in the 3rd period before Sean Davidson scored an empty net goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for West Lorne.
Fri Dec 16 2005: In Mitchell the Lakers defeated the Hawks by a score of 4-3. Ryan Roke scored twice for the Lakers while Ryan Campbell and Karl Schramowsky each added one goal. Matt Willis added two assists. Steve Henderson, Dan Raycraft, and Chris Ward scored for Mitchell. Liam Nediger picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. Mitchell outshot West Lorne 48-46.
Wed Dec 14 2005: In West Lorne the Lakers and Lambeth Lancers skated to a 5-5 tie. Matt Bartoch had two goals and two assists, Drew Irvine had two goals and two assists, and Ryan Roke scored the other goal for the Lakers. Jordan Dufton added three assists. Tyler Gore scored twice for Lambeth while Jake Powell, Grant Meagher, and Jeff Roy added singles. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Lambeth outshot West Lorne 61-37.
Sat Dec 10 2005: Minor Hockey Night is on Sat Dec 10 at 7:15 pm in West Lorne vs Lucan Irish. All minor hockey players will be admitted free of charge. Special guest Robbie Drummond of the London Knights will be there. Lots of prizes!
Sat Dec 10 2005: In West Lorne the Lakers defeated the Lucan Irish by a score of 9-8. The Lakers had a sluggish start in which they were outshot 22-5 and trailed 6-0 after the 1st period. The Lakers played better in the 2nd period and trailed 7-3 after that frame. The Lakers scored 6 goals in the 3rd period (including 5 goals in the last 9 minutes) to cap an unbelievable comeback on minor hockey night. The Lakers have never come back from such a large defecit to win a game. Jordan Dufton scored two goals and added two assists for the Lakers while Ryan Campbell, Matt Bartoch, Jeff Boyd, Karl Schramowsky, Drew Irvine, Matt Willis, and Brady Campbell each scored once. Drew Irvine and Matt Bartoch each had 4 assists. Jeff Silver scored three goals for Lucan, Bob Martin scored twice, while Jeff McLean, Trevor Medeiros, and Trevor Liddle each scored once. Liam Nediger picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 46-41 in favour of Lucan. The Lakers wish to thank West Lorne Minor Hockey executive, players and special guest Robbie Drummond of the London Knights for making minor hockey night a success.
Fri Dec 09 2005: In Exeter the Lakers defeated the Hawks by a score of 5-2. Ryan Roke scored on a slapshot from the blueline to open the scoring eight minutes into the game. Defenceman Tyler Smith scored in his first game with the Lakers two minutes later on a wrist shot from the slot. Matt Bartoch snapped a shot past the goaltender midway through the 2nd period for the Lakers third goal. Ryan Roke tipped in a shot from Justin Rowles to put the Lakers up 4-0 with five minutes remaining in the 2nd period. Jason Stuckless and Dan Moir scored for Exeter before Matt Bartoch put the game away on a breakaway deke with six minutes remaining in the game. Matt Willis added 3 assists for the Lakers and Brandon Palmer picked up the win in goal.
Wed Dec 07 2005: In West Lorne the North Middlesex Stars defeated the Lakers 7-2. Ryan Roke and Steve Boniferro scored goals for the Lakers. Paul Vanlieshout scored two goals while Stephen McLinchey, Jason Thompson, Brent DeGroot, Brandon Dymond, and Sean Davidson each added one goal for the Stars. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Shots on Goal were 41-23 in favour of the Stars.
Sat Dec 03 2005: In West Lorne the Exeter Hawks defeated the Lakers by a score of 6-3. The Lakers trailed 3-1 going into the 3rd period until Jordan Dufton scored 30 seconds into the period. Drew Irvine then tied the game midway through the period on a wrist shot to the top corner. The Hawks scored 3 goals in the final three minutes of the game to make the difference. Jason Stuckless scored twice while Greg Thompson, Justin Young, Joe Nesbitt and Jeff Ackersviller each added one goal. Ryan Roke scored the other Lakers goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for West Lorne. Shots on goal were 44-33 in favour of Exeter.

Mike Dufton scored two goals for the Lakers while Jordan Dufton, Ryan Roke, Matt Willis and Matt Bartoch each added one goal. Willis added 3 assists and Roke had 2 assists. Bryan MacPherson scored 3 goals and Sonny Daniels scored once for Belmont. Liam Nediger picked up the win in goal for the Lakers. West Lorne outshot Belmont 56-35.
Wed Nov 23 2005: In West Lorne the Lakers defeated the Mitchell Hawks by a score of 4-2. Mitchell opened the scoring 3 minutes into the 1st period on a power play goal by Shayne McClure. Matt Bartoch scored two goals from the slot to put the Lakers up 2-1. Shayne McClure scored his second goal of the game with 18 seconds left in the 1st period to tie the game at 2-2. Ryan Roke scored the winning goal on a breakaway with 8 minutes remaining in the game on a shot to the top corner. Jordan Dufton scored an empty net goal with 36 seconds remaining in the game to complete the scoring. Liam Nediger picked up the win in net for the Lakers. Mitchell outshot West Lorne 43-31.
Wed Nov 16 2005: In West Lorne the Thamesford Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 5-4. Matt Bartoch scored 1 goal and added 2 assists, Jordan Dufton scored 1 goal and added 2 assists, Ryan Roke and Drew Irvine each scored 1 goal for the Lakers. Josh VanEck scored two goals for Thamesford while Randy Kilburn, Brendan Pierce, and Jamie Jongsma each scored 1 goal. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Thamesford outshot the Lakers 38-32.
Sat Nov 12 2005: In Parkhill, the North Middlesex the Stars defeated the Lakers by a score of 5-1. John Sonier scored the only goal for the Lakers on a nice individual rush. Scoring for North Middlesex were Greg Thoman with two and adding singles were Mike Robinson, Brian Ousterhuis, and Stephen McLinchey. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers. Shots on goal were 37-31 in favour of North Middlesex.
Wed Nov 09 2005: In West Lorne the Lakers defeated the Belmont Bombers by a score of 6-3. The Lakers led 3-0 after the 1st period on goals by Jordan Dufton, Mike Dufton, and Ryan Roke. Karl Schramowsky, Ryan Roke with his 2nd goal of the game, and Ryan Campbell extended the Lakers lead to 6-0 after the 2nd period. Matt Morrison, Bart Wasinski, and Dan Walters scored for the Bombers in the 3rd period. Jeff Boyd and Matt Bartoch each had 2 assists for the Lakers. Brandon Palmer picked up the win in net. Shots on goal were 59-33 in favour of the Lakers.
Wed Nov 02 2005: In Lucan, the Irish defeated the Lakers 3-2 in overtime. Rick Buncick opened the scoring for the Lakers with 12:43 remaining in the 2nd period when he took a nice pass from Ryan Roke and slid the puck into a wide open net. Lucan scored midway through the 2nd period on a goal by Bob Martin to tie the game at 1-1. Lucan took a 2-1 lead one minute into the 3rd period on a shorthanded goal by Aaron Whitcomb. With 43 seconds remaining in the game and the Lakers goalie pulled for an extra attacker Ryan Campbell took a pass from Jordan Dufton and deked around a defenceman before picking the low corner to tie the game at 2-2. Aaron Whitcomb scored his second goal of the game 1:42 into overtime on a scramble in front of Lakers goaltender Brandon Palmer. Shots on goal were 48-36 in favour of Lucan.
Mon Oct 31 2005: In West Lorne, the Lakers defeated the Lucan Irish by a score of 3-2. Lucan opened the scoring 5 minutes into the 1st period on a goal by Matt Blane. Matt Willis banged in a rebound 1 minute later to tie the game at 1-1. Lucan took the lead midway through the second period on Matt Blane's second goal of the game. Brady Campbell snapped a shot to the top corner on a two on one with 6 minutes remaining in the 2nd period to tie the game at 2-2. Ryan Roke one timed a pass from Matt Willis to the back of the net on a two on one rush with 1:35 remaining in the game to give the Lakers the lead. Brandon Palmer was exceptional once again in goal for the Lakers. Lucan outshot the Lakers 53-45.
Sat Oct 29 2005: In Belmont the Lakers came from behind to defeat the Bombers by a score of 5-4. The Bombers had a 1-0 lead after the 1st period and a 3-2 lead after the 2nd period. Three 3rd period goals by the Lakers proved to be the difference. Karl Schramowsky scored his first goal of the year on a backhander between the goalies legs. Matt Willis scored on the power play and Ryan Roke put the Lakers ahead 5-3 for the eventual game winning goal. Also scoring for the Lakers were Ryan Campbell and Brady Campbell. Billy Carter added 2 assists. Scoring for Belmont were Kyle Kirby, Mac Green, JD Beavis, and Matt Morrison. Liam Nediger picked up the win in goal for the Lakers.
Fri Oct 28 2005: In Mitchell the Hawks defeated the lakers by a score of 4-2. Scoring for the Lakers were Matt Willis and Jordan Dufton. Matt Bartoch, Mike Cameron and Ryan Roke picked up assists. Tim Eickmeyer, Scott Lealess, Dave Verberne and Steve Henderson scored for Mitchell. Brandon Palmer was in goal for the Lakers.
Sat Oct 22 2005: In Thamesford the Trojans defeated the Lakers by a score of 4-3. The Lakers had a 1-0 lead after the 1st period on a power play goal by Brady Campbell. After the Trojans scored on a power play early in the 2nd period the Lakers took the lead when Mike Cameron passed to a wide open Matt Willis on a two man breakaway. Rick Buncick slid the puck past the Trojans goaltender to give the Lakers a 3-1 lead seconds later. The Lakers got exceptional goaltending from Brandon Palmer all game but the Trojans were able to score three 3rd period goals to win the game.
Fri Oct 21 2005: In Exeter the Hawks outscored the Lakers 7-1. Matt Bartoch scored the only Lakers goal 54 seconds into the 1st period assisted by Jordan Dufton. The Hawks goal scorers were Josh Liddle with two, Scott Davies, Justin Young, Craig Masse, Dan Moir, and Ryan Abrams each added one goal. Exeter led 4-1 after one period and 6-1 after the 2nd period. Liam Nediger and Brandon Palmer each played goal for the Lakers.
Mon Oct 17 2005: In West Lorne, the West Lorne Lakers defeated the Lucan Irish by a score of 4-1. Lucan opened the scoring on a power play goal by Allan St Amand 1:47 into the 1st period. Ryan Campbell scored 39 seconds later on a shot from the slot to tie the game at 1-1. Rick Buncick picked the bottom corner on a rush down the wing with 7 minutes remaining in the 1st period to give the Lakers a 2-1 lead. Mike Dufton took a nice pass from Ryan Campbell to score in the top corner on a breakaway with 1:10 remaining in the 1st period to give the Lakers a 3-1 lead. Justin Rowles skated in from the point and picked the top corner to give the Lakers a 4-1 lead with 2:20 remaining in the 2nd period. The Lakers played well defensively and Brandon Palmer was solid in goal as he made several key saves throughout the game. The Lakers outshot the Irish 46-32.
Sat Oct 15 2005: The West Lorne Lakers defeated the Belmont Bombers by a score of 9-6 in Belmont. Ryan Roke scored two goals for the Lakers. Jordan Dufton scored one goal and added four assists and Matt Willis scored one goal and had three assists. Also scoring for the Lakers were Ryan Campbell, Brady Campbell, Mike Dufton, Mike Cameron, and Mark Firth. Scoring for Belmont were Bryan MacPherson with three goals, Matt Morrison with two, and JD Beavis had one goal. Liam Nediger was in goal for the Lakers. The Lakers outshot the Bombers 67-34.
Wed Oct 12 2005: The West Lorne Lakers defeated the Exeter Hawks by a score of 7-5 at home. The Lakers trailed 3-0 after the 1st period and 5-2 after the second period. The Lakers scored 5 goals in the 3rd period to cap a tremendous comeback. Ryan Roke scored 2 goals and added 3 assists. Brady Campbell scored 2 goals and had 2 assists. Matt Willis scored 1 goal and added 4 assists. Jordan Dufton scored 1 goal and had 2 assists. Billy Carter also scored 1 goal. Ryan Roke scored the winning goal on a blast from the point with 6:57 remaining in the game. Matt Willis scored the 7th goal on a tremendous individual effort to deke the goalie and slide it in the open net. Brandon Palmer picked up the win in goal. The Lakers outshot the Hawks 44-35.
Fri Oct 07 2005: The Mitchell Hawks defeated the West Lorne Lakers by a score of 4-3 in overtime. The Lakers trailed 2-0 going into the 3rd period when a goal by Rick Buncick 5 minutes into the 3rd period narrowed the defecit. After Mitchell scored again to take a 3-1 lead the Lakers scored on a slapshot from the point to the far corner by Justin Rowles and Rick Buncick banged in a rebound 39 seconds later with 12 minutes remaining in the 3rd period to tie the game at 3-3. Mitchell scored the winner 46 seconds into the overtime session on a slapshot from the slot to the top corner. The Lakers strong 3rd period in which they scored all 3 of their goals enabled them to salvage a point.
Wed Oct 05 2005: The West Lorne Lakers defeated the Lambeth Lancers by a score of 7-2. The Lakers had a solid offensive attack led by Ryan Campbell who scored 2 goals and added 1 assist. Ryan Roke scored 1 goal and added 2 assists. Also scoring for the Lakers were Billy Carter, Jordan Dufton, Matt Willis, and Brady Campbell. Scoring for the Lancers were Adam Norman and Jason Furlong. The Lancers outshot the Lakers 45-43. Brandon Palmer was outstanding in the Lakers net including two unbelievable breakaway saves.
Sat Oct 01 2005: In Mount Brydges the West Lorne Lakers and the Mount Brydges Bulldogs skated to a 2-2 tie. Brady Campbell scored midway through the second period when he batted a pass in the air from Steve Boniferro into the back of the net for a 1-0 Lakers lead. Ryan Roke also assisted on Campbell's goal. Matt Bartoch scored a shorthanded goal shortly after when he snapped a shot from the slot past the Bulldogs goaltender to put the Lakers up 2-0. Mike Cameron and Jordan Dufton assisted on Bartoch's goal. The Bulldogs narrowed the defecit to 2-1 late in the 2nd period when Jamie Muir scored a power play goal. Muir scored 3 minutes into the 3rd period to tie the game at 2-2 which is the way it finished. Liam Nediger was solid in goal for the Lakers. The Lakers outshot the Bulldogs 39-37.

Wed Jul 27 2005: We are proud to announce that former Laker Dayne Davis has signed to play for Victoria of the ECHL for the upcoming season.
Mon Jun 20 2005: Jordan Dufton of the West Lorne Lakers was named the Ontario Hockey Association player of the year for the Junior Development League. Dufton who was the Yeck Conference nominee received the award over Tom Neilson of the Hagersville Hawks who was the McConnell Conference nominee. Dufton received a $500 bursary award and trophy at the Ontario Hockey Association awards banquet which was held on Saturday in St. Catherines. Dufton who attends the University of Western Ontario had 33 goals, 30 assists, 63 points in 38 games to lead the Lakers in points. His point total was second highest in the Yeck Conference and he had only 10 penalty minutes for the year. Dufton had previously won the Junior Development league player of the month for January. He also won two team awards; he was named the Lakers Miller Ford player of the Year for the regular season, and he was also named the Lakers most valuable player at the team banquet.
