Tue Oct 06 2009: The Lakers opened their 21st season of hockey with a 4-3 victory over Wooden Sticks at the Ice Park. Mike Dufton, Paul Bray, Ryan Campbell, and Chad Vautour scored for the Lakers. Brad Allen, Nate Doan, Kyle McVey, Mike Dufton, Tyson Clinton, Jordan Dufton, and Lyle Bedford each had one assist. Kelly Campbell was solid in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Oct 05 2009: The Lakers opened their 21st season of hockey with a 4-3 victory over Wooden Sticks at the Ice Park. Mike Dufton, Paul Bray, Ryan Campbell, and Chad Vautour scored for the Lakers. Mon Aug 10 2009: The Lakers are proud to announce the beginning of their 21st season of hockey starting Monday October 5 at the Ice Park.
Sat May 16 2009: Missing: Port Stanley Laker Championship banners, plaques, trophies from the Port Stanley Arena. Any information leading to the recovery of these items will be kept in strict confidence. Person or persons do not have to identify themselves. Persons with information may also contact CrimeStoppers or the OPP. Generous reward when items returned.
Mon Apr 06 2009: LAKERS WIN! The Lakers defeated Crabby Joes by a score of 5-1 to win the Ice Park Championship. The Lakers showed their skills at both ends of the ice to defeat a very talented Crabby Joes team. Ryan Campbell scored three goals while Paul Bray and Jordan Dufton each scored once. James Langford was solid once again in goal. The members of this 2009 Ice Park Champions Team are: Goaltender - James Langford Defence - Lyle Bedford, Drew Irvine, Kyle McVey Forward - Oliver Shanks, Paul Bray, Jordan Dufton, Mike Dufton, Tyson Clinton, Matt Willis, Ryan Campbell
Mon Mar 30 2009: The Lakers defeated the B Sharps by a score of 8-2 in a semi final game. Ryan Campbell and Matt Willis each scored twice while Mike Dufton, Oliver Shanks, Jordan Dufton, and Paul Bray each scored once. James Langford was in goal. The Lakers have advanced to the finals and will play Crabby Joes at 8:30 pm Monday night at the Ice Park.
Mon Mar 23 2009: The Lakers defeated Mr Tees Fools by a score of 16-5 to finish the playoff round robin with a 4-0 record. Matt Willis and Ryan Campbell each scored four goals, Jordan Dufton scored three times, Kyle McVey and Mike Dufton each had two goals, and Drew Irvine scored once. James Langford was in goal. The Lakers next game at the Ice Park is 9:00 pm on Monday in the semi finals.
Mon Mar 16 2009: The Lakers defeated the Feds by a score of 7-2 to improve their record to 3-0 in the playoff round robin. Matt Willis and Jordan Dufton each scored twice while Ryan Campbell, Kyle McVey, and Paul Bray each scored once. James Langford was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Mar 09 2009: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated the Chiefs by a score of 11-1 to remain unbeated in the playoffs. Ryan Campbell scored four goals, Matt Willis and Oliver Shanks each scored twice, Kyle McVey, Tyson Clinton, and Paul Bray each scored once. James Langford was solid in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Mar 02 2009: The Lakers won their first playoff game by defeating Bad Bounce by a score of 12-2. Jordan Dufton scored four goals, Matt Willis and Ryan Campbell scored three goals each, Kyle McVey and Drew Irvine each scored once. Mike Dufton had six assists and Lyle Bedford had three assists. James Langford was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Feb 23 2009: The Lakers defeated Goodlife Fitness by a score of 9-1 to finish the regular season in first place with a 19-1 record. Paul Bray scored three goals, Jordan Dufton scored twice, Oliver Shanks, Drew Irvine, Matt Willis, and Ryan Campbell each scored once. James Langford was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Feb 16 2009: The Lakers defeated Cafe of Life Chiropractic by a score of 8-1. Matt Willis and Paul Bray each scored twice while Drew Irvine, Jordan Dufton, Mike Dufton, and Ryan Campbell each scored once.
Mon Feb 09 2009: The Lakers defeated the Feds by a score of 11-4 to improve their record to 16-1 on the season. Ryan Campbell scored four goals while Jordan Dufton, Kyle McVey, and Tyson Clinton each scored twice. Matt Willis had one goal. James Langford picked up the win in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Feb 09 2009: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated Crabby Joes by a score of 7-1 to improve their record to 17-1. Jordan Dufton and Ryan Campbell each scored twice while Paul Bray, Matt Willis, and Drew Irvine each scored once. James Langford made some incredible saves in picking up the win in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Jan 26 2009: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated Bad Bounce by a score of 18-2 to improve their record to 15-1. Ryan Campbell scored five goals, Jordan Dufton, Mike Dufton, and Paul Bray each scored three goals, Matt Willis and Drew Irvine each scored twice. James Langford was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Jan 19 2009: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated B-Sharps by a score of 7-2 to remain in first place with a record of 14-1. Ryan Campbell scored four goals while Jordan Dufton and Matt Willis each scored twice. Dufton added four assists, Drew Irvine had three assists, Lyle Bedford and Paul Bray each had two assists. James Langford picked up the win in goal.
Mon Jan 12 2009: The Lakers defeated the T-Baumers by a score of 8-3 to improve their record to 13-1. Jordan Dufton scored four goals for the Lakers while Ryan Campbell, Mike Dufton, Matt Willis, and Paul Bray each scored once. Oliver Shanks added three assists. James Langford was solid in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Jan 05 2009: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated the Chiefs 15-2 to improve their record to 12-1. Ryan Campbell had six goals and five assists, Paul Bray had four goals and two assists, Jordan Dufton had four goals and five assists, Matt Willis had one goal and six assists, Lyle Bedford had four assists. James Langford was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Dec 29 2008: The Lakers improved their record to 11-1 with a 4-1 victory over Good Life Fitness. Ryan Campbell scored twice for the Lakers while Oliver Shanks and Mark Willis each scored once. Shanks, Paul Bray, Lyle Bedford and Drew Irvine all added one assist. James Langford picked up the win in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Dec 22 2008: The Lakers improved their record to 10-1 with a hard fought 2-1 win over Cafe of Life Chiropractic. Paul Bray and Ryan Campbell scored for the Lakers. James Langford was solid in goal which included a tremendous glove save from in close with 15 seconds remaining in the game.
Mon Dec 15 2008: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated B-Sharps by a score of 6-2. Ryan Campbell and Matt Bartoch each scored twice while Kyle McVey and Paul Bray each scored once. Drew Irvine and Lyle Bedford both added two assists. James Langford picked up the win in goal. The Lakers with only seven skaters played a solid game throughout.
Mon Dec 08 2008: The Lakers suffered their first loss of the season by a score of 5-4 to Crabby Joes. Tyson Clinton had two goals while Mike Dufton and Kyle McVey each scored once. James Langford played well in goal for the Lakers. The Lakers were down 5-2 before scoring twice to narrow the gap and then had a tying goal disallowed.
Mon Dec 01 2008: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated Mr. Tees Fools by a score of 11-2 to remain unbeaten at 8-0. Ryan Campbell scored four goals while Tyson Clinton scored twice, and Jordan Dufton, Mike Dufton, Paul Bray, Kyle McVey, and Matt Willis each scored once for the Lakers.
Mon Nov 24 2008: The Lakers defeated Bad Bounce by a score of 13-3 to improve their record to 7-0. Jordan Dufton and Matt Bartoch each scored three goals while Mike Dufton and Ryan Campbell each scored twice. Lyle Bedford, Matt Willis, and Paul Bray each had one goal. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Nov 17 2008: The Lakers had to rally from behind to defeat the Feds by a score of 7-6 at the Ice Park to remain unbeaten at 6-0. Jordan Dufton scored three goals while Matt Willis and Ryan Campbell each scored twice. Trailing 5-2 the Lakers scored five goals in the final six minutes of the 3rd period. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Nov 10 2008: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated Cafe of Life Chiropractic by a score of 5-4 to improve their record to 5-0. Matt Willis, Paul Bray, Matt Bartoch, Kyle McVey, and Lyle Bedford scored for the Lakers. Bedford scored the game winning goal on a slapshot from the point with 22 seconds remaining. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Nov 03 2008: The Lakers are pleased to announce that former Laker John Kozoriz is playing for the Brantford Senior AAA Team.
Mon Nov 03 2008: The Lakers defeated the T-Baumers by a score of 9-1 to improve their record to 4-0. Jordan Dufton scored three goals, Matt Willis and Matt Bartoch each scored twice, Oliver Shanks and Kyle McVey each scored once. Drew Irvine had three assists. The Lakers outshot the T-Baumers 47-16. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Oct 27 2008: The Lakers defeated Good Life Fitness by a score of 8-1 at the Ice Park to improve their record to 3-0. Ryan Campbell scored four goals for the Lakers while Drew Irvine, Jordan Dufton, Tyson Clinton, and Mike Dufton each scored once. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers.
Tue Oct 21 2008: Former Laker Rhys Thornton is playing for the St. Thomas Stars Junior B Hockey Club and former Laker Josh Suhanji is playing for the Woodstock Renegades Junior C Hockey Club this season.
Mon Oct 20 2008: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated Cafe of Life Chiropractic by a score of 10-4 to improve their record to 2-0 in league play. Jordan Dufton scored three goals, Tyson Clinton and Paul Bray each scored twice, while Drew Irvine, Matt Willis, and Ryan Campbell each had one goal. The Lakers outshot Cafe of Life Chiropractic 33-22. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Oct 13 2008: At the Ice Park the Lakers defeated Crabby Joe's by a score of 6-3. Ryan Campbell scored three goals for the Lakers while Jordan Dufton, Paul Bray, and Tyson Clinton each scored once. Matt Willis had three assists. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers.
Mon Oct 06 2008: The Lakers began their 20th season of hockey with a 6-5 loss to the B-Sharps at the Ice Park. Ryan Campbell scored four goals for the Lakers and Paul Bray scored once. Oliver Shanks, Mike Dufton, and Lyle Bedford each had two assists. The Lakers outshot the B-Sharps 27-16. Matt Fieder was in goal for the Lakers. Other players on the Lakers roster include Kyle McVey, Tyson Clinton, Matt Bartoch, Matt Willis, Drew Irvine, and Jordan Dufton.
